Medication Management for Hormones and Mental Health
Hormone therapy and psychiatric medication, managed together by one provider. Telehealth for women in New Mexico.
Most women in perimenopause and menopause are told to see a gynecologist for their hormones and a psychiatrist for their mood, and the two never talk. But estrogen and progesterone shifts directly affect anxiety, depression, sleep, focus, and irritability. When your hormones and your mental health medications are managed separately, it is easy to end up on the wrong treatment, or on too many.
At Healing in NM, Julie Murphy manages both. She is a double board-certified nurse practitioner (FNP-BC and PMHNP-BC), a Menopause Society Certified Practitioner (MSCP), and has 18 years of experience in women’s primary care.
What we manage
Hormone medication management
Evaluation and treatment for perimenopause and the menopause transition, including menopause hormone therapy, with ongoing monitoring and dose adjustments. Support for hot flashes, sleep changes, mood shifts, weight changes, low libido, and vaginal dryness.
Psychiatric medication management
Evaluation and medication management for anxiety, depression, ADHD, PMDD, bipolar disorder, panic, and sleep disturbance, with attention to how your hormones may be shaping your symptoms.
Both, together
One plan, one provider, one set of labs. Hormone therapy and psychiatric medications are adjusted with each other in mind, so you are not left guessing which change caused which effect.
Who this is for
Women in New Mexico in their late 30s, 40s, and 50s who are noticing new or worsening anxiety, low mood, rage, brain fog, or poor sleep alongside cycle or menopause changes, or who feel their current medications stopped working once perimenopause began.
